Remember when you were a kid and you loved to drink either apple juice or grape juice? I loved grape juice with a bunch of ice in it, it was my favorite juice. Now that I’m an adult and really into juicing I love making different combinations, but I also love to just keep it simple. This grape juice recipe tastes perfectly balanced with sweet and tart flavors. Grape juice from the store can taste so artificial sometimes, I also don’t prefer any type of store bought apple juice. I love juicing my own apples at home because they taste so fresh and flavorful. The apple juice at the store is too acidic and sweet for me. I came up with this juice combination because I love flavor combinations like cran-apple, cran-grape, and now apple-grape juice.Apples, grapes, and blackberries all have antioxidants and phytochemicals (naturally occurring compound in fruits and veggies that give them pigment) which are great to consume in order to prevent heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and even cancer (Cancer.org).
Juicing at home is easy and the healthiest method for getting the most nutrients and fiber. The store bought juice lacks fiber and more nutrients. It may sound easy to just buy juice, but once you juice and home and taste the difference you’ll be hooked. Juicing from the Juicepresso juicer isn’t a pain in the bootie at all, the machine has only 3 parts to it to clean, so there’s no excuse not to use it.
- 2 Red Apples
- 1 Pint Blackberries
- 1 Cup Grapes
- Cut the apple in chunks
- Wash the blackberries and grapes
- Juice in alternating order
You can use red or green apples and you can use red or green grapes, or a mix of the two! Green apples and grapes make it more tart, red apples and grapes make it sweeter.
