Heather Diamani

Okay so I don’t have the usual “I was overweight and lost weight” story for you about how I got into nutrition, but I’d like to think I have something more unique than that. It all began in 2008 when I was told I had endometriosis. I suddenly lost 20 pounds (was 105 lbs at 5'3) and became tired, sick, and weak. I went to the doctor because of the concern for my dramatic weight loss and how I was feeling. After a few tests and one endoscopy, it turned out I had precancerous cells on my uterus and intestines (Atypical endometrial hyperplasia). When my doctor offered me hormone replacement therapy and radiation therapy… I refused them. I know that sounds crazy, but at that time I'd just started reading up on nutrition and complimentary and alternative medicine, so I decided I’d try the natural route instead. I even read a few books about people that cured their own cancer from macrobiotic diets and healthy living. One year later of blending, juicing, clean eating, fitness, positivity and meditation I was cancer free! Now I'm on a mission to positively influence others to live a healthier and happier life through health and wellness.

The Blendhappy Healthy Living Philosophy

Blendhappy is about mind and body health, blending, juicing, making healthy recipes, exercise and fitness tips, healthy living, happiness, encouragement, inspiration, motivation, and enjoying life.

Optimal health and wellness is achieved through proper nutrition, fitness, and a positive mentality. It all begins with positivity. With a positive mindset, anything is possible. There are so many health issues and concerns with people today and it’s primarily due to poor eating habits, lack of exercise, and a poor mentality. People’s eating habits are essential to their health, so making healthy choices help people feel better, look better, and live longer. Anemia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cancer, obesity, and diabetes are all results of poor health and poor eating habits. Food can either cause an issue or help heal an issue. With foods like fresh fruit, vegetables, protein, and whole grains you can easily live a healthier lifestyle. It’s up to you to make the choice to be healthy; no one is stopping you but YOU. Real change has to begin from within.

Exercise and fitness are extremely important because according to the American College of Sports Medicine, Fitness.gov, Heart.org, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) adults should be getting at least 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity exercise. The exercise should include cardio, strength training, and flexibility conditioning.

At Blendhappy we commit to providing you with the right information on nutrition and fitness as well as motivating, inspiring, and encouraging a positive lifestyle.
